IP(intellectual property) is the key to the future in the 21st century.
Due to the increasing incidence of IP war domestically and internationally, it is necessary to have comprehensive knowledge behind creation, management, and protection of IP.

However, the previous human resources development program for the IP experts failed to accommodate the current social demands because it only depended on the theory, which was not different from other regular master’s programs. Therefore, a new paradigm to train IP experts was required.

The IP SCHOOL program at Hongik(Master’s degree on IP) provides an optimal curriculum that covers both theory and practical experience based on the education infrastructure required by the demands in the field to train IP experts with comprehensive knowledge and global mind.
The IP SCHOOL program at Hongik is the nation’s first IP SCHOOL program that is sponsored by the Korean Intellectual Property Office since 2009 in pursuit of the power in knowledge.

The IP SCHOOL program launched its curriculum in March 2010.
